It is beneficial for employers to employ strategies to get you back quickly, so there may be return-to-work program through your company. If you are unable to return to your previous position or company, the government provides training and resources through your workers' compensation claim.

According to the Office of Disability Employment Policy, return-to-work programs are advantageous to both the worker and employer. Some benefits for the employer include improved employee morale, increased productivity and reduced workers' compensation costs. Some of the strategies they may use to help get workers back to work sooner include:

Depending on your specific situation, you may receive specialized training, take some college classes or you may take tests to determine the best jobs for you. Other services of the program include vocational couseling, job placement and on-the-job training.
